Flood Recovery Resources

With record rainfall recorded in Cooke County for the month of May, many homes and businesses are facing severe damage. On May 29, 2015, President Obama signed a Presidential Disaster Declaration for seven Texas Counties due to the severe weather. Cooke County was included in these counties.

If your home or business has suffered damage since the 4th of May, 2015 as a result of the severe weather and flooding, and you are uninsured or under-insured, please contact the Cooke County VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) thru the United Way offices at 940-665-1793. This organization will be compiling a list to be used by Cooke County to apply for FEMA individual assistance if the county has incurred enough uninsured or under-insured individual loss.
